Nature, even that of the local variety, is pretty amazing

Have been fiddling about with video today – getting some close-up detail of Spring just about springing into life after weeks of deluge, fast, famine and pestilence. OK, I may have exaggerated slightly there 🙂 I wished I’d taken some stills now, but here’s a screen grab from some video footage. Young reeds in a pool of water reaching for the sun. There’s something about this green world of shade, tone and freshness that I find endlessly fascinating and relaxing. I wonder if it tastes like asparagus? And all this, just half an hour away from home.
