Great gig down at The Barrels last night – first act on was Matt Wilson, just him, his guitar, some interesting tuning and a clutch of lovely songs. And a new one that has the makings of something really quite nice. Here’s a quick shot. The Barrels is a great venue. A pint of ‘Warlock’ (Woooarrgggghhhh!), great cosy atmosphere (and no light) and the sense it’s like the 101 club or the CBGB’s of Berwick. Or perhaps The Marquee down in Wardour Street…Excuse me while I shed a small tear of nostalgia…
