Saw this while walking the dog nearly fours years ago to the day. It was just a simple, touching photo at the time, but one, in the hurly-burly of the day is easily forgotten. A few hours later I understood the true nature of it and now it remains stamped on my retina, imprinted. I remember looking over the bridge and seeing that someone, presumably ‘Jennie’ had sprinkled gold sand into the river bed. It stayed for a few days and then was swept away. Metaphors abound, wherever we look. I think that one though, is a poor one.
